At the Freedom Flame Awards Banquet, the Scholars were honored to hear Marian Wright Edelman and Reverend Jesse Jackson speak and were entertained by Ms. Jenifer Holiday!

Thanks to the sponsorship of Mr. Cleo Washington, the Scholars were able to attend the Coretta and Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Brunch where the speakers included Martin Luther King, III; Reverend Al Sharpton; and Vice President Joe Biden!

On Sunday, the Scholars were honored to be marching with tens of thousands of other individuals commemorating Bloody Sunday!
